My Approach
Welcome to my website. I'm so happy you're here. One of the most important components in the therapeutic process is finding a therapist who helps you feel seen and helps you feel safe. I strive to develop a non-judgmental space for all of my clients; together we will examine your patterns and your relationships with acceptance and compassion, and devise a plan to move towards a more fulfilling life. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, highly individualized, and evidence-based. I use humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), emotion focused family therapy (EFFT), and a transdiagnostic modality (UP) to help you reach your goals. I use a combination of techniques and interventions in therapy, and we will work together to find what's best for you. In therapy, we will discover the patterns that no longer serve you, and experiment with new behaviors at a pace that feels manageable to you. My techniques are likely to include logging your emotional experiences, role-playing, journaling, dream work, in vivo and/or imaginal exposures with response prevention, interpretation, coached meals, mindfulness, among other interventions. I may suggest that you consult with a primary care physician, psychiatrist, and/or registered dietician regarding treatment that could help you. Please reach out to me if you'd like to discuss my approach in greater depth.
